Running an Ethernet cord would be a lot of work that I do not want to have to do. receiving the same damn message as stated above.Īlthough that is the case, I thought to myself that not using WiFi may fix this problem I have of disconnecting from 2k online games. I attempted about 10 games, and only finished around 2 of them.

I just yesterday rented nba 2k15 for ps4 to see if there was possibly some connectivity issue with my PC.

I have played other games online on my PC (H1Z1) and my ps4 (Madden) and although I experience some lag at times, I do not get disconnected from the game. Why I continued to try? I can't tell you, its a fun game when it lets you play. This game will not be counted." around 37 of the 40 nba 2k15 online games that I have attempted to play, (mostly team up, some rec and others). Since around two months ago, (not exaggerating) I have received the message "A problem has been encountered that prevents gameplay from continuing. When that happens, sometimes my speed test drops down to around 6-10 Mbps. At peak using time, which is a few hours a day, there are 3-4 other users in the house that run Netflix and youtube videos on different devices, mostly using Wifi. Most times when I run a speed test it shows between 20-30 Mbps. We have one main wireless modem that puts out has a 5 GHz channel, a 2.4 GHz channel, and we have a separate router connected to it that provides another network (these signals do not overlap, I checked). My PC and ps4 that I own are both in my room upstairs, and the wireless modem is downstairs, which is down one level and across two walls.
I have been using WiFi on and PC since then.

After they fixed the major issues and made the servers more reliable (but imo still a mess), I was able to reasonably enjoy the game and only get the occasional disconnect or error message while playing online for a long time.īefore the release, I had just upgraded from AT&T DSL (back in the stone age) to Time Warner getting about 30-40 Mpbs as advertised, which was a huge upgrade that I was very happy about. I dealt with some disconnects near the beginning, as I believe we all did with what a terrible state they released this game initially. I have been a very active online (rec, park, team up, etc.) PC player since the release of this game (why, I cant tell you). We’ll keep you updated with any new information we come across about the Copying game problem during NBA2K17 installation.Let me start by saying I'm not all that knowledgeable on this issue when it comes to computers and internet.

We have a good internet connection (100MBit download speed) and the patch seems to be going like we have a 1MB connection – so it is not up to your internet speed, it is most likely that 2K servers are just overloaded at this point and their bandwidth is spent from all the players trying to play the game ASAP. Some users report only a 2GB patch is being downloaded for them, while others have 51GB downloads being done. You could also connect your PS4 directly to your modem for a higher, more consistent download speed. For now the only thing you can do is wait it out. Putting your PS4 in rest mode will divert all of it’s attention towards your download. There are things you could do that may significantly expedite the process. However, that isn’t the only thing that can affect the speeds. It should be noted that the download speeds are expected to be slower in this immediate post-release time frame due to the incredibly high volume of traffic and downloads currently using the 2K servers. Update: 2K support gave us the following info and I guess we should all be patient since the game is huge: Seems their support system is also “experiencing a high volume of tickets, which means reply times may be longer than initially expected.”. We reached out to 2K for comment and support, but haven’t heard back from them yet. There also seems to be a day 1 patch being added to the process. The game is about 59GB and even if you pre-downloaded it it seems to be re-downloading a lot of content. If you are one of the unlucky ones having this issue prevent you from playing the game, you are not alone. People are getting stuck at various percentages and it is taking forever for the percentage counter to move by one. A lot of players are reporting that on their PS4 systems they have a Copying Game screen that takes forever to finish. NBA 2K17 launched worldwide a couple of hours ago, but some of us haven’t been able to start playing yet.
